What to expect from a consultation

  • Consultation

FREE - Once you decide to pursue a consultation with Branches of Joy, the first step is meeting and seeing if this is the right fit. This meeting can happen in person, virtually, or on the phone. For lactation and bottle feeding, the infant should be present. For all other feeding concerns, it will start with just the caregiver(s).

  • Evaluation

After the caregivers have determined if this is the right fit, it’s time for evaluation. This can happen in-person at your home or a neutral location (e.g. park, playground, etc), it can also be virtual. The evaluation period is filled with observations of the environment for feeding, positioning, sensory input and behavior reactions, oral motor structures, and other factors that may be impacting feeding at large.
